Toronto and Vancouver appear to be on the right track, with Montreal lacking depth after having been bitten hard by pre-season injuries. Atlanta and the Cascadia clubs look to impress once again. The Bachelor finale proves to actually be the most dramatic ever. Also, is Canadian soccer fandom too insular a community? Should fans of the sport get all evangelical up in here? Tune in to hear our thoughts.

Wigan monumentally slay the giant that is Manchester City in fifth round FA Cup play and one costly mistake robs Chelsea of victory against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. Also, we just want you to listen to us the way Tessa Virtue looks at Scott Moir.

Wherein Our Heroes share thoughts on the latest season of The Bachelor; BAE is not a fan. John Herdman takes charge of the Canadian men’s soccer program after over six successful years in charge of the #CanWNT. Adam’s father weighs in on the change, as do we, and we are certainly having it. What we are not having is Sid Seixeiro’s recent rant on Tim & Sid. The Canadian Premier League names their first Chairman and Commissioner, a veteran of true Canadian icon: Tim Horton’s. The future bodes well for Les Rouges. This episode couldn’t possibly get any more “True North strong and free”.

Kim Jong-un is revealed to support not one, but two clubs, but more bizarre is the fact he’s “good friends” with Italian senator Antonio Razzi. Big Sam cancels Everton’s club Christmas party, the Manchester Derby offers up intrigue, drama, and milk, but isn’t as glorious as Canada’s own Toronto FC claiming the crown of MLS Cup Champions.

Carles Puyol is attacked with a sex toy, Lillestrom’s Aleksander Melgalvis Andreassen places his genitals in the recently-won domestic cup in Norway, and a 17-year old Sunderland supporter may or may not have defecated in his seat. He did urinate in his seat, by his own account. Also Shaktar’s gaffer sports a Zorro outfit after a well-fought Champions League victory against the mighty Manchester City and we discover that Adam is a regular Bill Tench.

Wherein Our Heroes put to bed our infatuation with Stranger Things 2, once and for all. Toronto FC bid to become the first MLS franchise to win the domestic treble, but don’t look all too convincing leading up to the MLS Cup Final. Wayne Rooney scores a cracker from half, Fellaini and Rüdiger suffer from boot problems (with differing attitudes), and Ronaldo gets the bust his handsomeness deserves. Also, inspired by Gareth Bale, we chat about our hypothetical preferred wedding entertainment.

Daniele De Rossi gets insubordinate as Italy crash out of Russia 2018, and we love it. We are not havin’ U.S. Soccer’s potentially proposed “Participant Cup”. Also, Bruce Arena pulls a gutsy stint on Fox Sports 1, offering up punditry on his former cadre so soon after cataclysmic failure.

Wherein Our Heroes mourn the loss of Canada’s Unofficial Poet Laureate, Gord Downie. We discuss the highs and lows of Baby Driver and Blade Runner 2049. Columbus Crew may find a new home in Austin, Manchester City look unstoppable, and the etymology of San Diego 1904 FC’s name is questioned. Also, in sad news for Canadian soccer development, Whitecaps FC II fold and a new chapter begins in Fresno. Sleep well, Gord.
